Following the success of the trips to Bulgaria we offered last season
where we enjoyed 4 weeks of skiing, this season we are offering a
new trip to the Eastern country of Romania.
Having studied detailed information on the skiing in this country, it
made us think that this destination could soon become “the” place to
go in seasons to come.
Like Bulgaria, this country enjoys a cold continental climate. Thanks
to its proximity to the Black Sea, the mountains here get a plentiful
snowfall during the winter.
The ski resorts have a rather rundown network of ski lifts but they are
enough to take us to a sufficient height to allow, with the help of some
short tours with skins, access to beautiful, long off-piste descents.
The Carpathian mountains are wonderful and extremely wild. Steep
valleys, spectacular canyons and impressive forests that are still
inhabited by wolves and bears provide the setting for this week of
skiing.
The bonus of this trip will be the charming villages and a culture
which is characteristic of the country.
We will be skiing in two different areas within this region.
ATTENTION: This course of the “Evasion Program” is offered by some of our High Mountain Guides and under their entire responsibilities.
The SCM Top Ski can’t be considered as responsible for the management, cost and organisation of this course.
