This trip takes place in Norway in the same area of the Lyngen Alps as
the previous trip and consists of the same features in terms of ski
touring.
The difference is that we will be staying in a very comfortable lodge
located at the heart of the region’s main ski area.
This lodge is the only one of its kind and opened its doors last
November for its first winter season in 2008. The level of comfort is
excellent with a large lounge area with open fire, a convivial dining
room, a sophisticated kitchen,
8 twin bedrooms with bathrooms, a sauna and outdoor Jacuzzi.
And all of this is just a few metres from the banks of the Lyngen Fjord
opposite the Lyngen Alps (see photos opposite).
This lodge was created by an English guide and his Norwegian wife
and is exclusively dedicated to a clientele that is ski touring in the
area.
As a result of this, all organisation at the lodge is based exclusively
around this activity and therefore it offers an unrivalled base from
which to enjoy our favourite sport. Each day, a fast, comfortable,
covered boat takes us to the ski areas or a mini-bus takes us to the start
of the tours that are accessible via the little road that runs alongside
the fjord.
This trip has been created for those people who wish to go ski touring
in this unique setting but have been put off by the fact that they had to
stay on a boat with a similar level of comfort as a mountain hut, living
in close proximity to one another. However, this type of trip does have
many enjoyable characteristics to it and we will continue to run them.
ATTENTION: This course of the “Evasion Program” is offered by some of our High Mountain Guides and under their entire responsibilities.
