Determine Your Level
 Work out your ski ability
Beginner

On-piste - You are a total beginner and never skied before.

Off-piste Rookie - You are an advanced intermediate or better skier on piste. You are happy to ski all red runs and most of blacks, if they are in good conditions. You have never tried off piste skiing before and are keen to learn the basic technique and the corresponding safety rules.

Intermediate

On-piste - You have skied before, you ski on green and blue runs, red runs if they are not too steep and in good condition.

Off-piste - You have done three to five weeks of off piste skiing and are keen to challenge yourself further. You are able to link a minimum of 10 to 15 continuous turns in easy deep snow. You are finding difficulty in handling different types of snow and tend to fall over or stop because you gain to much speed. Your technique and experience is still lacking and you need more practice and tuition.

Advanced

On-piste - You are a good parallel skier, you ski comfortably and in control down red runs and confidently most blacks runs if conditions are good. You have around 15 weeks skiing experience (this is minimun entry level required for our introduction to Off piste course). You are confident to ski the whole groomed mountain, including steep blacks runs except in particularly icy or difficult conditions, being able to use short controled curves as well as long carved turns. You already had a go at skiing easy Off piste runs and enjoyed it.

Off-piste - You have done at least six to nine weeks of off piste skiing and are ready to tackle somewhat steeper terrain. You can easily link 10 to 15 controlled short curves in the fall line in most of conditions, but sometimes you still struggle in difficult terrain. You are ready to ski off piste whenever it is possible and want to gain more experience and technique.

Expert

On-piste - You are a fluent confident skier on all pistes, whatever the conditions. You take the fall line when ever it is possible whether in moguls or in steep terrain. You are fit and like to ski all day.

Off-piste - You are the veteran of many off piste weeks and are a very confident skier in all terrain, snow and weather conditions. You don’t mind the odd climb to get to a perfect slope. You are unerringly keen, love and respect the mountains and are to volounteer for whatever fresh challenge we can find for you.
